National Jamboree Food Drive Flyer

The National Scout Jamboree, is an incredible gathering of thousands of Scouts from across the country and around the world, who come together to celebrate Scouting during more than a week of exciting activities.

Jamboree is more than a destination! It’s the adventure of lifetime! And there is simply nothing else like it on the planet!

What’s a Jamboree? It’s not camp. National Jamboree is 360-degrees of fun, friends and fellowship with hands-on adventure that takes you places you never thought you’d go and challenges you to try things you never thought you could.

It’s the beginning of your own heroes’ journey that will challenge you to go farther than you ever thought possible. You’ll reach deeper and lift yourself higher to become the best version of yourself.

Contingent members are encouraged to join the Facebook Group 2026 MVC National Jamboree Contingent to stay up to date and share photos from the Jambo with the Contingent!

Since the first Jamboree in Washington, D.C., in 1937, Jamboree has been held in several locations. Starting in 1981, Fort A.P. Hill, Virginia, was the home of eight consecutive Jamborees. Then, in 2013, Jamboree moved to a new home at the Summit Bechtel Family National Scout Reserve, on over 10,000 acres adjacent to the New River Gorge National Park in West Virginia.

With world-class facilities and a focus on outdoor action sports, the Summit welcomes Scouts to a whole new Jamboree experience. Whitewater rafting and kayaking, rock climbing and bouldering, and mountain biking are just a few of the activities offered. There’s also skateboarding, BMX, shooting sports, and zip-line challenge courses. And that’s just the beginning.

The excitement of Jamboree isn’t limited to Scouts, either. The Summit features a large visitor area, where day-users can try out some of the activities that the Scouts are doing around other parts of the Summit. Parents that visit are astonished at the sheer size of just the visitor area, let alone where the Scouts can venture to.

The next National Jamboree will be held in the summer of 2026. The Muskingum Valley Council can’t wait for you to join us on this adventure!
