YOUTH PROGRAMS

For more than a century, the Boy Scouts of America has helped build the future leaders of this country by combining educational activities and lifelong values with fun. We believe – and, through more than a century of experience, know – that helping youth is a key to building a more conscientious, responsible and productive society.

Scouting's Programs

CUB SCOUTS

A year-round, family-friendly program designed for boys and girls who are in first through fifth grade (ages 7-10). Activities are used to achieve the aims of Scouting- citizenship training, character development and personal fitness.

SCOUTS, BSA

Designed for boys and girls ages 11-18, Scouts in Scouts, BSA learn responsible citizenship, character development and self reliance through participation in a wide range of outdoor activities and educational programs.

VENTURING

A program for young men and women between the ages of 14 and 20. Its purpose is to provide positive experiences to help youth mature and prepare them to become responsible adults.

EXPLORING

A career learning program for young men and women between the ages of 14 and 20. Exploring units, called “posts”, usually have a focus on a single career field, such as police, fire/rescue, health, law, aviation or engineering.

LEARNING FOR LIFE

A curriculum program that focuses on character building and development that can be used in school for grades K – 6 or as part of an after school program. It a program that provides a great resource that focuses on easy lessons to help students with character building programs.

SEA SCOUTS

There are many reasons why young adults should be interested in Sea Scouts. Being on the water and learning to operate a boat powered by wind is a traditional rewarding experience. For thousands of years, sailing and water transportation was the most important methods of travel for trade, business, culture, war, and practically every other major advancement.
