All nominations, to be considered for presentation at the 2024 Zane Trace District Awards & Holiday Party must be submitted by 5pm on November 1st, 2024. All previous awardees are listed at the bottom of the page.

Awards Based on Nominations

District Award of Merit

The highest honor the district can bestow upon a volunteer. Awarded to registered Scouters who have rendered noteworthy service to Scouting. Consideration will be given to the nominee’s position and the corresponding opportunity to render outstanding service beyond the expectation of duty.  The nominee’s attitude toward and cooperation with the District and Council will be taken into consideration. (Up to two awards may be awarded per year)

Cub Scouter of the Year

This is a district award presented to a unit-level volunteer who has shown exceptional service to a Cub Scout Pack; someone whose involvement and participation has elevated the quality of program offered by the Pack.

Scouts BSA Scouter of the Year

This is a district award presented to a unit-level volunteer who has shown exceptional service to a Boy Scout Troop; someone whose involvement and participation has elevated the quality of program offered by the Troop.

The Herb Dilley Hall of Fame Award

This is a district award presented to a veteran Scouter who has provided 10 or more years of exceptional service to Cub Scouts, Boy Scouts or the District.

Carl Church Eagle Scout Project of the Year

This is a district award presented to the Zane Trace Eagle Scout Project of the year. All Class of 2024 Zane Trace Eagle Scout Projects will be considered for this award.
